How Simply Adventurous Travel began
Hi, I’m Angie Uribe, founder of Simply Adventurous Travel — a Fort Lauderdale travel advisor helping South Florida travelers plan cruises, guided group tours, and custom journeys. I’m a proud Florida State University graduate with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Before launching my travel business, I built my career in restaurant management — an industry where attention to detail, anticipating needs, and delivering exceptional service are everything.
That background shaped my philosophy today: client satisfaction is always my top priority. I know the little touches matter — whether it’s a warm welcome, seamless planning, or creating those “wow” moments you’ll always remember.
Over the past decade, I’ve been fortunate to explore Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia — immersing myself in culture, cuisine, and authentic local connections. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, I’ve stayed deeply connected to my roots, traveling from vibrant cities like Medellín, Cartagena, and Santa Marta to the charming pueblitos beyond them.
